THE CHALLENGE

Colas needs to recruit young, qualified candidates with professional skills that are very specific to its industry.

Having already put together a database of potential target candidates for its needs in customer relationship management (CRM), Colas wanted to re-engage their interest in the company by using a solution that combined efficiency and time saving.

The solution

Colas requested the help of Golden Bees' intelligent retargeting technology-this solution involves displaying recent job postings to an audience comprised of candidates who had already demonstrated a relatively strong interest in the company. The solution deployed involved the following elements:

  • Use of Colas' first-party data: Using the Golden Bees tracking technology installed on Colas' career page, Golden Bees collected, aggregated, segmented, and activated the candidate data from the customer's CRM database.
  • Behavioral analysis: A number of variables, such as the site visitors' behavior, the job postings viewed, and the rate of engagement were analyzed in order to maximize the probability of re-engagement and to allow the algorithms to optimize decisions relating to advertising spend.
  • Use of dynamic banner ads for job postings:
    With dynamic banners, the message can be personalized for each Internet user, i.e. for each candidate. In the context of retargeting, the audience-buying auctions are often much higher—this allows better exposure to be obtained for the job postings.
  • Visibility expanded across all advertising contexts: The job postings are advertised in the form of banners specifically on sites visited by target candidates. Advertising spend is regulated on a performance basis, and measured by the cost per application as defined by the customer.

GOLDEN BEES' RETARGETING TECHNOLOGY ALLOWED FOR THE REENGAGEMENT OF A VERY NARROW, STRICTLY DEFINED GROUP OF TARGET CANDIDATES DURING THE VERY SHORT PERIOD OF TIME ALLOTED.
